Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.”

Ah, the nice subject of friends, refreshing isn’t it??? I would say so now, though it wasn’t the case before. I remember thinking once upon a time? Who needs friends??? If you don’t have any, you cut out faking, lies, phonies, and disappointments (I was quite the cynic o_O). But given that we’re all human beings, to a degree, we all need each other. We need someone to talk to, someone to comfort us when we’re distraught, someone to pick us up when we fall, support us through the good times and bad, etc. Like this scripture says, what would you do if you fell and no one was there to help? :( You might say that you’d be okay now, but in the moment, it’s a different story!
So, if you have some really good ones, let’s take the time to thank God for our friends. And if you don’t right now, ask God to send some great ones into your life. Even mix it up, if you have a couple, but would like more that match you in terms of personality or interests, ask Him! It’s really easy to feel alone when everyone around you is different. So, if it’s what you want, pray for it! I’m sure God will send someone your way when the time is right :-)
