Corinthians 5:16-17
“So we
have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we
thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know
him now! This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person.
The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”
Ever feel
like your past is holding you back? Maybe past mistakes are tying you down. Or
maybe you’re afraid that people will find out about your past and regard you
negatively? Even worse, maybe they already know and just won’t forget about it
even though you’ve tried to change. Well, I’ve got news for you, good news! In
Christ, you are a new creature, whether people believe it or not. Your old
life, that’s yesterday. Your new life starts the day that you let Christ take
over.
Don’t let
what people say or the devil take that away from you. They could’ve done that
to Jesus, but He didn’t let them. People can only take away what you let them
take. Rather, take active steps to implement this new change in your life. God
will always send people to edge you on. Hey, that’s what I’m doing right now.
So, make the change today and get ready to enjoy and thank God for your brand
new life. :-)
