Romans 8:31-39

What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written:
   “For your sake we face death all day long;
   we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Isn’t it nice to know that someone is fighting for you and that with Him on your side, you are more than a conqueror??? That no matter what happens, you have the guarantee that you can overcome it through the love of Christ and nothing can separate us from this love: not death, not life, not present, not future, not depth, not height, and so forth. This love empowers us to face tough situations and overcome anything!! As Paul writes, we face death all the day long. People can bring stuff against us all the day long but it counts as nothing because God has justified us and Jesus intercedes on our behalf. Knowing that you have this power and this love on your side, what are you afraid of???? As humans, we tend to base our fears on our own might. But if we think about God’s place in our lives, we will fear nothing. We will face our situations with a boldness, a courage that can only come from God. If you don’t have this strength, pray for it today! In fact, I don’t even have that strength, but I pray for it everyday. You all can pray for me too. I want to have so much faith in God’s love that it emboldens me to face whatever comes my way with a level peace, a peace that passes understanding knowing that my God has justified me and made me a conqueror through him that loves me! Join me in this quest today! :-)
