Isaiah
50:6-8
“I
followed orders, stood there and took it while they beat me, held steady while
they pulled out my beard, Didn't dodge their insults, faced them as they spit
in my face. And the Master, God, stays right there and helps me, so I'm not
disgraced. Therefore I set my face like
flint, confident that I'll never regret this. My champion is right here. Let's
take our stand together!”
Ever felt
insulted or embarrassed for standing up for what you believe in? It’s the
easiest thing for people to do, make fun of you for something that they
disagree with or don’t believe in themselves. The important thing to notice is,
how do you react to their demeaning behavior?
It may be
tempting to get upset, become angry, or even feel depressed when things like
that happen. But in times like these, we have to remember who’s on our side and
standing with us when all of those insults are being hurled. Greater is He that
is in you than he that is in the world. Because God is with us, we can stand
firm and even proud when people belittle us. So, don’t feel embarrassed, don’t
feel disgraced. Like the author says, your champion is right here. TAKE YOUR
STAND TOGETHER!!! :-)
totally agree :)
