Matthew 11:28
“Come to
me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Ahhhh…that
word “tired.” It’s one that I think we can all identify with; and not just
physical fatigue, but emotional and even spiritual fatigue as well o_O. In
fact, these past few days have been pretty draining and boy do I need some rest
in all of these domains zzZZZzzzz. But you ever get that feeling that you got
some rest but you still feel super tired??? Maybe it’s because we’re looking
for rest in the wrong place.
True rest
only comes from one place and from one person and that’s Jesus Christ. If you
go looking for it anywhere else, sorry to say, but you won’t find it. You might
feel okay for a little bit, but it’s only a matter of time before you feel
overly fatigued again. So, why not just seek rest from the one and only source
and see how it goes? Beats feeling tired all the time… :-)
