Proverbs 17:22

A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

We all know those people, the ones who feel down and kind of pull you down right along with them, the ones who never seem to be happy or cheerful, the ones whose spirit seems crushed no matter what.
We all also know the cheerful people, the ones who can make you feel better on a rainy day, the ones who kind of make you forget about your problems, the ones who can’t help but to bring joy to your life :-)
Now which do you prefer to be around? If the cheerful ones? My thoughts exactly. Sometimes, we don’t quite realize how our negative attitudes about life can affect other people. I’m not dissing anyone because I used to be the same exact way. Even today, I have to catch myself to make sure that I don’t fall back into that line of thinking. But the truth of the matter is, while some things are no doubt depressing, we have so much to be thankful for.
Now, there are those people who use the excuse of, "you just don’t understand." And if you’re one of them, I say to just drop it...do it...NOW! O_o and ask God to open your understanding O...:B. A lot of us complain and sulk because we just don’t know any better, but there are other ways! In my opinion, no one ain’t got nothing on Job o_O, but he found a way to praise God through the storm. And when he started to slip, God shut him up real quick because there was nothing that Job could say to the almighty, all-knowing Creator. So, instead of questioning, sulking, and complaining, we can ask God to show us better and maybe ask someone with more experience in those respects for help! It won’t be easy, but with time and God’s help, you’ll be surprised at what you can do!
If you’re the helper, granted, you won’t be able to fully empathize with everyone, but do what you can, be a good listener, provide helpful, spiritual advice, and be cheerful about life. Only when you attempt to understand someone’s point of view will you best know how to approach their situation :-)
