Hebrews 3:1-6a
So, my dear Christian friends, companions in following this call to the heights, take a good hard look at Jesus. He's the centerpiece of everything we believe, faithful in everything God gave him to do. Moses was also faithful, but Jesus gets far more honor. A builder is more valuable than a building any day. Every house has a builder, but the Builder behind them all is God. Moses did a good job in God's house, but it was all servant work, getting things ready for what was to come. Christ as Son is in charge of the house.

This verse teaches an important lesson that as Christians we must not forget: Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith and He deserves all the glory, honor, and praise! Sure, we can remember all the people who were instrumental in furthering his kingdom and the gospel, leading his people, upholding his rules, etc. But let’s not forget who the builder is behind all this…no other than the big man, Jesus Christ himself! So, while we remember who the builder is, let’s do our best to be like Moses and get things ready for Christ’s coming. We don’t want Jesus to come home to a dirty house! ;-)

  1. this is so true i love it......"I am the stone that the builder refused"... not sure if that applies but i also see this as a resolve to be more like Christ he the builder himself.. and I am the foundation never to crumble :p
